System requirements

Supported platforms: Windows 10 / 11 with DirectX

Supported Houdini versions: 20.5.550 or later

Installation

ZibraVDB nodes are shipped with SideFX Labs but to start using ZibraVDB you need to install the Core Library:

1. Install Houdini v20.5.550 and SideFX Labs v20.5.565 ****or later.
2. Add any ZibraVDB node to your project.
3. Inside a node click the “Open Plugin Management” button. A window will be opened.
4. Click the “Download Library” button. You will be redirected to the website.
5. Download the ZibraVDB Compression Library from the webpage.
6. Unpack the content of the archive into the Houdini user preferences directory:
   • On Windows, the default location is %userprofile%/documents/houdini20.5.
   • On Linux, the default location is $HOME/houdini20.5.
7. Return to Houdini and click "Load Library" in the “Plugin Management” window. You should now see the “Library status” as “Loaded” and the version of the library.

Optional

Activating License

1. Purchase a license key on the Zibra AI website.
2. Add any ZibraVDB node to your project.
3. Inside a node click the “Open Plugin Management” button.
4. Input your license key into the “License key” field.
5. Press the “Set License Key” button. You should now see “Activation status” as “Activated”.
